Listed buildings

Listed buildings are buildings of special architectural or historic interest and are listed by the Government in consultation with English Heritage. Wandsworth has around 500 listed buildings which include a wide range of building types and ages that are considered to be of national importance. Our listed buildings include bridges across the Thames; burial tombs in several cemeteries, many houses, churches, schools and cinemas. 

We have a duty to protect listed buildings and report annually on those at risk.
