Temporary event notices (TEN) can be used to authorise relatively small scale ad hoc events held in or on premises involving no more than 499 persons at any one time. A temporary event notice is sometimes used to extend the hours of, or the types of licensable activities, authorised by a premises licence for a 'one off event'.
