Advice and support for consumers in Wandsworth is now provided by Consumer Direct, a telephone and online consumer advice service, which is supported by local authorities in London and by the Office of Fair Trading.

Consumer Direct provides clear, practical consumer advice to help consumers sort out their problems and disagreements with suppliers of goods or services and trained advisers are ready to offer individual solutions for individual problems. Consumer Direct works in partnership with Trading Standards, providing first level advice and information on a wide range of consumer problems.

Where a complaint relates to criminal legislation enforced by Trading Standards then Consumer Direct will refer details of the complaint to Trading Standards for further investigation.
