Privacy and confidentiality
You have the right to privacy. Personal information about you will not be given to others who do not need to know. Staff or carers may need to be given information so they are aware of any problems or difficulties.
You have the right to receive information on things that affect you and you should receive copies of your care plan and minutes of you review meeting. You will be given a 'red file' which is where you can keep all important documents which you collect as you grow older.
If you are over 16 you have the legal right to ask to see your file and your social worker will help you with this request. You can see your file if you are under 16 though it's usually best if someone goes through the file with you. |
