Leaving care

When you leave care to become independent, this can be a worrying time. There are lots of things to think about like money, housing, jobs, college, health etc.

To make this process easier, Wandsworth Council works with young people up until the age of 21 or even 24 if you are in Higher Education.

The next few sections will help you work out what happens when you reach about 16 and leave care.
