Summer holiday fun programme 2008 

This programme for 2008 has now finished and we have had the most successful summer to date with more young people taking part than ever! We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who took part, parents and all the coaches involved in making this programme happen.

Throughout the summer over 350 children from all across the borough participated in the various activities including Multi Sports, Dance, Swimming, Athletics and Tennis.

The NEW dance courses held at Balham Leisure Centre were hugely popular with 50 participants coming for each of the 3 days. All participants took part in Street Dance, Cheerleading and High School Musical themed games and the children got to learn a different routine each day with the opportunity to perform to parents and siblings at the end of the session.

Also this summer, the Multi Sports courses held at Wandle Recreation Centre, Tooting Leisure Centre and Furzedown, were really well attended with all children partaking in many different sports. The new addition of trampolining into the programme proved very popular and the children had great fun!
