Although there are not many organised opportunities for youngsters to play the sport there is a demand from schools to participate. Battersea Ironsides and Spencer Cricket Club are the main providers within the borough. Cricket returned to the London Youth games in 2006 and it was through the clubs that Wandsworth were able to put out a side.

A mixed mini cricket session for 5-8 year olds held at the Aspire Centre is already proving very popular. Youngsters get to grips with the sport through its abridged form known as kwik cricket. They get an opportunity to try out all the aspects of the game, batting, bowling and fielding.
