Sports coaches and assistant coaches needed
Particularly in Netball, Tag Rugby, Hockey, Cricket, Basketball
Are you a Sports Coach looking for work? Leisure and Sports Services at Wandsworth Council are committed to the provision and development of sport and physical activity. We require committed sports coaches to deliver quality sessions within schools and community groups to help increase the level of activity in the borough.
Coaches
- The main responsibilities of the coach will include planning, developing and delivering sessions within primary schools (predominantly 6-11year olds) in the borough during curriculum time as well as after school clubs.
- Must have a minimum of a National Governing Body Level 1 and/or Level 2 in the relevant sport.
Assistant coaches
- Must have experience of working within a sports environment and be able to deliver to groups and individuals under supervision.
- A National Governing Body Level 1 qualification is preferable.
It is desirable all our coaches and assistant coaches have a Safeguarding and Protecting Children Certificate and First Aid Qualification, however training opportunities are available in these areas.
Occasional weekend work may be required.
All positions are subject to a CRB disclosure and taking up of references.
