With its beautiful views over the lake, Pump House Gallery offers an unusual and relaxing venue for private or corporate event hire for up to 70 guests. With the use of our terrace this can increase to 160 seated in a marquee for dinner or up to 200 for a canapé and drinks reception.

Examples of previous events include:

  • Product launches
  • Press briefings
  • Client champagne and canapés
  • Wine tasting evenings
  • Corporate 'team building' or brainstorming meetings
  • Birthday or engagement cocktail parties
  • Baby naming ceremonies

You will have sole use of the building and out door courtyard. The venue is suitable for events up to 120 guests standing capacity throughout or about 24 seated for an intimate dinner. A marquee can be erected on the terrace area of the gallery allowing all the guests to be seated for a meal or presentation or to dance the evening away.

Event hire charges for private and corporate event hire

Times available for hire:

  • 9am to midnight Monday and Tuesday
  • 5pm to midnight Wednesday and Thursday
  • 4pm to midnight Friday and Saturday
  • 5pm to midnight Sunday

Minimum hire period on Saturday and Sunday is 5 hours

For events at the Pump House Gallery, we offer the hire of the gallery for up to 120 guests standing throughout, with the use of the gallery and the terrace this will allow up to 200 guests standing, or 160 seated in a marquee for dinner.

  • With the hire of a marquee you can enjoy a seated dinner with the caterer of your choice.
  • There is also no corkage fee, allowing you to use the wine merchant of your choice.
  • There is a catering cabin with catering tables, water and electric for your caterers to prepare your food, with 6 trestle tables for caterers to use.
  • We provide 24 chairs; you are welcome to hire additional chairs to coordinate with your marquee.

Saturdays and Sundays have a 5-hour minimum hire.

Gallery - £300 per hour
Gallery and terrace - £400 per hour

Event details
Music may be played on our CD system and is piped throughout the gallery. An hour should be set aside at the beginning and end of the hire period for setting up and clearing up/vacating the building. Dancing may take place in marquees only. Smoking may take place outdoors only.

All clients are required to take out event insurance and provide us with a copy for our records.

An initial 30 minute consultation with the PHG Events co-ordinator, followed by another a few days before the event is recommended. This is free of charge.

All consultations are by appointment.
