Education and events Pump House Gallery encourages audience and community involvement by offering opportunities for participation and learning. We organise a variety of educational activities and events. These events are a key part of the gallery's programme and include informal tours and related events by curators, artists and invited guests to complement the exhibitions programme. These artist led sessions explore exhibition or seasonal themes and offer popular opportunities for adults and children to take part together. As well as hands on activities, Pump House Gallery offers free interpretation and education materials for families and younger visitors. The gallery runs an occasional programme for adult learners, including artist-led art workshops for the over 50s. Pump House Gallery works to develop lasting beneficial partnerships with local community groups, schools and organisations. The nature of collaboration can vary from informal guided exhibition tours to longer creative workshops and projects designed for or with specific participant groups. We also welcome tours and group visits (minimum 5 people).
