Disabled access There are three pay and display car parks in Battersea Park. They are situated at Albert Gate, Chelsea Gate and Rosery Gate. View car park locations. Blue badge holders may park for up to three hours free of charge providing they display a valid badge and time clock. Additionally, there is a designated Disabled Car Park on the south side of the Millennium Arena on East Carriage Drive. This is slightly closer to the gallery. To access this, please enter Battersea Park at Chelsea Gate, by Chelsea Bridge, Queenstown Road. Drive to the mini roundabout. Turn left and at the barrier buzz through to parks Police for access. Once through the barrier, the car park is located a short distance along on the left. The area outside the gallery is a gravelled level surface. This leads from a tarmac path to the gallery, which has large double doors that open inwards, and a ramp to enable wheelchair access to the ground floor exhibition space, information desk and shop. A fully accessible toilet is situated on the ground floor. A hearing loop is located in the gallery reception. The gallery has 4 floors. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd floors are reached via a metal staircase. A secure hand-rail runs the length of the staircase - on your right as you ascend and left as you descend. We regret that currently there is no wheelchair access beyond the ground floor, however a feasibility study is currently underway with a view to providing full access throughout the building. If you would like to receive information about the gallery in large print please call us on 020 8871 7572. Please contact the gallery for more information or with any specific queries.
