What's new?
Team Read, linked to this year's Olympics, is designed to encourage children to enjoy reading, get active and win medals. Children pick up a Team Read membership card and poster from the library and collect bronze, silver and gold stickers as they read. There's a gold medal and a certificate for reading 6 books, and an exciting website at www.teamread.co.uk Young people can take part in the Reading Challenge Plus, and children under four can take part in the special Team Read Baby Book Crawl. The Challenge runs from July 19 to September 6.
To celebrate the NYR, Wandsworth Libraries has a series of events happening throughout the year - watch this space and the screen in your library!
The results of our poll will be published in August. To tell us which one book you would take with you, you can either email us at libraries@wandsworth.gov.uk; or fill in a bookmark at your local library. West Hill Library Local alternatives are Alvering Library, Putney Library and Southfields Library or you can use any of the other eight libraries in the borough. Library items can be returned to any Wandsworth Library and renewed using the 24 hour renewal line on 0115 929 3388 or online.
