Holds archives for the greater London area including Church of England parish records, which includes registers for Wandsworth, Battersea (microfilm copies for St Mary's Church, Battersea, originals with the incumbent), Putney, Tooting, Clapham; records of non-conformist churches, schools, hospitals, courts, businesses, Wandsworth prison and Wandsworth and Clapham poor law union. The LMA has a large collection of maps, prints (indexed) and printed sources. The Online London Generations database lists holdings and information leaflets on topics such as adoption, schools, and evacuation.

Records relating to Wandsworth, when it was part of the County of Surrey, include Surrey Quarter Sessions records, deeds and property papers, and electoral registers 1832-1885, land tax records 1780-1831.
