Film Awards launch - August 4th The Wandsworth Film Awards are now open to local film-makers. Grants of up to £4,000 are available towards the production of a short film. Find our more about the Film Awards and download application details. Last year's award winner 'Love Does Grow On Trees', written and directed by Wandsworth film-maker Bevan Walsh and produced by Geraldine Patten has just won the Best Newcomer Award at Rushes Soho Shorts. Previous winner Christine Hartland has just been accepted onto the Guiding Light mentoring scheme chaired by Working Title's Tim Bevan. Christine's mentor will be producer Damian Jones whose work includes Adulthood, Kidulthood and History Boys.
