Computer and learning suites
The Community Centres have two computer and learning suites.
These state of the art facilities provide the latest computer training for adults (18+).

• Registered with British Computer Society
• Approved ECDL Centres

The computer learning centres offer:

• Qualified, experienced tutors - who will assess your training needs and help you set your individual learning goals
• Recognised training courses leading to qualifications.
• Free use of the Internet and PCs for experienced users subject to availability
• Free Colour scanning
• Colour photocopying and printing (small charge will be made)
• Fax -  charges on request
• Assistive technology
• Full disabled access
• Advice and information (signposting)

Courses

Taster Courses on Word and Excel. These can be tailored to meet your own individual needs

UK Online User Journey using Myguide and First Time Online.
These are beginner's courses in computing and using the Internet. These courses can also help you in your job search and also writing a CV.

ECDL (European Computer Driving License) is available for more advanced learners using interactive, online software.  The course is very flexible and you can work at your own pace and times.

To gain the full ECDL qualification you need to pass all 7 modules:

• Module 1 Basic Concepts of IT
• Module 2 Using the Computer and Managing Files
• Module 3 Word Processing
• Module 4 Spreadsheets
• Module 5 Database
• Module 6 Presentation
• Module 7 Information and Communication
