Introduction
Wandsworth is very well connected with transport links for travel both within the borough and to the city and beyond.

Heathrow Airport can be reached by car in 45 minutes and Gatwick in 30 minutes by rail. From the middle of Wandsworth the M25 and M3 can be reached in 30 minutes and the M4 in 25 minutes.

At the heart of public transport in the borough is the rail and underground network. With six underground stations and eight rail, travel is easy both within the borough and beyond.

Trains logo Mainline Trains
Clapham Junction is in the North East of the borough and is the busiest railway station in the UK. It provides mainline services to the South and South East and the central London terminals of Waterloo and Victoria.
Approximate journey times from Clapham Junction include: Victoria - 5 minutes, Waterloo - 8-10 minutes, Gatwick - 30 minutes, Paris - 3 hours and Brussels - 3 hours 30 minutes (both via Waterloo International).

Cycling
The Council supports the introduction of the London Cycle Network, which aims to provide a 2900 km network of safe, convenient and conspicuous cycle routes across London. Wandsworth Cycling Campaign (WCC) is the local group of the London Cycling Campaign (LCC) in the London Borough of Wandsworth, UK. They exist for the benefit of everyone who cycles or might cycle in and through the borough of Wandsworth. Find out more at www.wandsworthcyclists.org.uk

You can reduce the risk of cycle theft by aways using a good lock. But if you are unlucky enough to have your bike stolen, you'll have a much better chance of getting it back by registering it first on the immobilise register www.immobilise.com.

Walking
Wandsworth has many pleasant places to walk, including a large number of parks and open spaces. The Thames Path, Wandle Trail and Capital Ring walks all pass through the borough. You can download maps of the section of the Capital Ring walks that include parts of Wandsworth.
