Local Development Framework (LDF) We are producing a Local Development Framework (LDF) which will eventually replace the adopted Unitary Development Plan (UDP). The LDF, which will relate closely to our Sustainable Community Strategy, will consist of a series of documents. The most important of these documents is the Core Strategy, which sets out our spatial vision for Wandsworth and a strategy for how this vision will be achieved. Representations relating to the soundness of the Core Strategy Proposed Submission version will take place between the 3 September and 29 October 2008. A Site Specific Allocations Document, Development Control Policies Document and Proposals Map will also be produced to develop the principles and policies in the Core Strategy in more detail, and consultations on these documents will take place in early 2009. All of these documents must be in general conformity with the London Plan. When adopted, they will, together with the London Plan, constitute the statutory development plan for the Borough. The Planning Portal has produced a Guide to Local Development Frameworks which explains the process in more detail
If you have any questions relating to the LDF, or cannot find the information you need relating to the LDF on our web pages, please telephone the LDF Hotline on 020 8871 6649/6650. |
