Garratt Lane Old Burial Ground - information from the London Historic Parks and Gardens Trust

Former burial ground, 0.8 hectares, in Garratt Lane/Malva Close, in the Wandsworth Town Conservation Area, SW18.

Public transport by rail to Wandsworth Town Station, or by bus 44, 270.

These public gardens were created on the former burial ground, in use prior to the establishment of Wandsworth Cemetery (Magdalan Road). The gardens have recently been relandscaped with a path running west to east from semi-circular paved area backed by shrub planting off Garratt Lane with benches, sculptural light fixtures. A number of chest tombs and gravestones are set into the lawns.
