What will happen if you don't pay
It is important that you pay the full amount on the bill within the time stated. If you fail to pay your invoice by the due date, or fail to keep to any arrangement that you have made, we will take recovery action.

If you have received a reminder letter or notice of court proceedings this means that the bill has been passed to the Arrears Team. They will send you a reminder letter and then you will receive notice of Court proceedings from our legal section.

Subsequent failure to pay the balance or bring your account up to date may result in legal action to enforce payment of the debt. If the matter goes to Court then you will incur additional charges for interest and legal costs, and your property and possessions may be at risk.

You can download the following information leaflet to find out what you should do if a claim has been issued against you through the county court.
