Cost of running the service
From 2008 we will be participating in a national benchmarking survey designed to create comparative cost data with other boroughs that offer a similar service.
We will publish further details regarding this when the information becomes available.

In the meantime, the table below shows how Wandsworth compared to two other councils when calculating the cost of running the service during 2006/07.

How does our collection performance compare to other London boroughs?
The result of a recent survey showed that, on average, London boroughs collected 87.6% of debt raised in 2006/07. We collected 91.2% for the same period.

How do some of our charges compare to other boroughs?
It is very difficult for us to provide comparisons across a range of services are they are not always identical in what they offer, but you can download an example of how our home care rates compare to other boroughs.
