Wandsworth Council has carried out a review of polling districts and polling places in the Borough. The initial proposals were submitted to the General Purposes Committee on 10 October 2007, and the report by the Chief Executive and Director of Administration and Returning Officer proposed the division of the SMD polling district in St. Mary’s Park Ward in the Battersea constituency into two: an eastern SMD district and a new western SME district, to cater for new developments at Battersea Reach.
The final proposals were submitted to the General Purposes Committee on 28 November 2007, and were adopted by the Council at it's meeting on 12 December 2007.
The new boundaries for the revised polling districts SMD and SME will be published on 31 December 2007.
