The Corporate Business Plan (CBP) brings together in one document our service improvement plans, and the financial strategy and planning process. The objectives and priorities for improvement and the plans to achieve them are the driving force behind the financial strategy and budget changes. By bringing the medium term financial strategy and 3 year service improvement plans together in this way, you can get a more complete picture of the overall framework within which we work to achieve the all important objective of delivering high quality, value for money services.
This Corporate Business Plan also meets the statutory requirement for authorities to produce a performance plan which for 2008 must include outturn data for Best Value Performance Indicators (BVPI) over 2007/08 and a statement to confirm adoption of the Code of Practice on Workforce Matters in Local Authority Service Contracts. The BVPI data is included in the chapters on service performance from page 21 and the statement on the Code of Practice is included at the end of the document.
