Feeding back your experience of using Adult Social Services
In April 2006 the way we provided adult Social Services changed. We have been monitoring how the change is working from inside the service. What we have not yet got is feedback from people actually using it.

Complete our online questionnaire.

We have learnt from people who talk to a social worker, or see an Occupational Therapist or who get care services that surveys by post are quite limited in giving us feedback which tells us how you really feel. We have therefore set up this feedback process in a completely different way.

We are working with a group of service users so you can give your feedback directly to them. They will look at information you provide and, along with feedback, from people who have telephone interviews or joined discussion groups, will use it to give us a report about people's experiences of using adult Social Services. This group of service users have written a statement below which expresses their feelings about being involved with this feedback process.

We hope you will be able to give us some feedback and by doing so help us to keep what we do relevant and responsive to your needs.

Statement from the service users
We are a small group of service users seeking to change the way social services responds to people with needs and we need your feedback to do this.

We are the ones who will present the results of this feedback process to the department's managers and it is to us they will report progress in making changes happen. We feel with your help we can make a difference.

Thank you for choosing to give us your feedback through the Council's website.

We just have a few simple questions followed by a space for you to say what you want to.

Do Social Services staff respond quickly enough?

Do you get feedback from Social Services staff about what they have been doing in meeting your needs?

Are the services you are receiving satisfactory?

Do you know how to make a complaint and do you feel able to complain if you are not happy?
