What is Supporting People?
Supporting People logo. Click to go to national Supporting People websiteSupporting People funds supported housing, which provides for vulnerable people needing both housing and support. These include hostels, sheltered housing, group homes and support to people in their own homes. These services provide practical support to help people live more independently. Support work covers help with benefits, assistance in finding appropriate services in the area, regular planning meetings to address needs, and in temporary housing help to move on into your own home.

How good are the services?
Services will be monitored by the Wandsworth Supporting People Team, through information on staffing and what happens to people in the service. Service providers send in quarterly and annual information. There will also be extensive service reviews every 3 to 5 years. These reviews include a visit to supported housing services to talk to both tenants and front line staff. Once reviews are completed tenants can request a copy of the service reviews, and these will also be published in our Documents section soon.

What does the Supporting People team do?
The Supporting People team are responsible for the monitoring of services provided and the payment of grant to the support providers. We will be visiting many services as part of service monitoring and will talk to both tenants for their views on the services. But you can give us your views at any time by writing to us at:
