Housing Strategy and Business Plan
The Housing Strategy and Business Plan were assessed as "Fit for Purpose" by the Government Office for London in May 2003. The final "Fit for Purpose" versions are available below for download as PDF documents along with the relevant statistical appendices.
As an excellent authority the Council is not required to publish a separate Housing Strategy. However good practice recommendations indicated that a revised Housing Strategy should be produced every 3-5 years once the "Fit for Purpose" Threshold has been achieved. It is expected that a revised Housing Strategy will be produced during 2007.
The Business Plan is updated regularly and copies of the latest updates can be downloaded.

Achieving decent homes The result of the Stock Options Appraisal Process, carried out during 2004, showed our residents had a clear preference for the Council's housing stock to remain under Council ownership and management. The Decent Homes Standard will be met through existing resources and is likely to be achieved by 2007/08.
You can download in pdf format the documents that were used during the appraisal.
Committee papers relating to the appraisal are available via our online service or from the Committee secretary on 020 8871 6039.
