The Housing Department is seeking to establish a readers' panel to review all literature produced by the department. The aim is to ensure that all of the publications distributed by the Housing Department are:

• Relevant and clearly expressed;
• Concise;
• Use the right typeface; and
• Plain English and jargon free

The views of residents will be routinely taken into account and a period of consultation will be built into any timeframe in the production process for new publications.

It is anticipated that there will be approximately three to four publications a year.
