THE FACTS: LSD Sometimes called: Acid, Trips, Tabs, Blotters, Micro Dots.

What it looks like: Comes as tablets or on small pieces of blotting paper or stamps with pictures on them.
How it 's used: Swallowed.
The Effects: Colours and patterns are brighter and sometimes distorted, good or bad trips depend on the mood of the user. Once a trip starts, you need to wait for it to wear off. Seeing or hearing things that aren't really there - can be frightening. Time can seem to pass very slowly.
The Risks: A bad trip can lead to feelings of panic and paranoia Can lead to accidents, injury or even death. Flashbacks, where part of a trip is remembered and relived can be scary and dangerous. If you have mental health issues LSD can make them worse.
The Law: LSD is a Class A drug. Having LSD can lead to 7 years in prison and/or a fine. Supplying LSD (this includes passing it on to a friend) is punishable by up to life imprisonment and/or a fine. Getting a criminal record can make it more difficult to travel abroad or get certain jobs.
