It is time to say Thank You to your volunteers. This year Wandsworth Council and Volunteer Centre Wandsworth are holding an awards celebration evening. Our very own 'Oscars' for those that volunteer in Wandsworth.

You can make your nominations using the online form below.

Notes and tips
Thousands of people volunteer in Wandsworth every week, helping organisations achieve their purpose. They help and support all shapes and sizes, do jobs big and small, are all-important in making a difference, and now is the time to say a huge thank you.

There are ten awards so that all types of volunteering are recognised. Please think carefully about those that have helped you across the year. The nomination forms can be completed by an organisation, another volunteer in your organisation or a service user of your organisation. The idea of the awards is to say thank you to Wandsworth's volunteers. Organisations may nominate up to two people for each category. Each nomination requires a form to be completed in as much detail as possible, telling us why you think that person should receive the award. An independent panel will judge all completed nomination forms.

Nominations must be submitted by 12 September 2008.

All the information will be treated as confidential. The judges' decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into. All entries will be non-returnable.

The celebration evening will be held at the Civic Suite, Wandsworth Town Hall, Wandsworth High Street at 7.30pm on 27 November 2008. Please put this date in to your diaries now. Nominees will be invited to bring friends and family with them to celebrate volunteering in the Borough and find out who has won the awards.

If you have any questions regarding the awards please do not hesitate to contact the awards team on 020 8870 4319 or volunteerawards@wvsda.org.uk.
