Introduction
From February 2009 the Student Finance Section is responsible for the administration of applications and financial assessments for people who are continuing in higher education and young people who are thinking of or going in to further education.

Our vision statement is 'We are committed to promoting and delivering a fair, accessible, effective and innovative service to the community'.

Update 2009/10

Due to changes in the way student finance is processed, the Student Finance Section will not be accepting new applications for higher education student support for the 2009/10 academic year.  We will only be administering applications for students continuing their courses in 2009/10. 

Applications for new students in 2009/10 will be processed by Student Finance England.  Information and online applications will be available from February 2009 at www.direct.gov.uk/studentfinance .  Or alternatively for information on new applications for student finance for 2009/10 and accessing paper applications please call the Student Fiannce England Customer Support Office on 0845 300 5090.

Unfortunately both the Children's Services Reception and the Student Finance Section will be unable to provide advice or guidance on new applications or accept any new application forms or supporting evidence for 2009/10.
