Student Finance - Higher Education
Introduction Our customers range from young people who have just left compulsory school and are going to study in further education to young and mature people (including people with children) wishing to study in higher education. Our vision statement is 'We are committed to promoting and delivering a fair, accessible, effective and innovative service to the community'. Update We processes applications using the national database maintained by the Student Loans Company (SLC). The SLC has updated the database to enable assessment of the minimum 'non-income assessed' applications, but due to changes in the maintenance grant for 2008/2009, the ability to assess 'income assessed' applications will not be available until after 21 May 2008. This means that whilst we can process all applications up to a certain point, students applying for the income assessed loans and grants cannot be finally assessed until after 21 May 2008. There will therefore be a backlog of applications waiting to be processed after 21st May 2008 and we will work through these in strict date order as quickly as possible. Please note: You must supply your original passport to support your application. If you do not have a passport you can send your original birth certificate or adoption certificate. If you send your birth certificate or adoption certificate it must be accompanied by a declaration signed by yourself and a person of standing. This form can be downloaded at www.studentfinancedirect.co.uk or by calling 08456 077 577. |
