We aim to make Wandsworth safer, healthier, more prosperous and sustainable: a good place to live and work now and a better place in the future.
Our Wandsworth 2018 looks ahead to the kind of place we all want our borough to be in the future.
It is the 'blueprint' of how the council and its partners, including the police and health services, will work together to improve the lives of people in the borough over the next ten years.
All boroughs must have a long-term plan like Our Wandsworth 2018. Also known as a Sustainable Community Strategy (SCS), it is a way of making sure that:
- local people are safe and healthy
- and have an improved quality of life
- communities are developing in a sustainable way
- local people's concerns are being addressed.
Before finalising Our Wandsworth 2018, we listened to the concerns local people have now and for the future. We've also had feedback about the good things in Wandsworth, like the parks and open spaces, which residents would like protected.

The Profile of Wandsworth was produced in October 2008 and looked in more detail about where Wandsworth was then and our future plans for improving the local environment. It was accompanied by a questionnaire that allowed you tell us what you thought about our plans.
